Alma Ruting
With over 35 years of experience in the floriculture and horticulture sectors, I have developed a broad expertise. My background includes 10 years at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, where I specialised in shelf-life research, relationship management and translating retail concepts into specifications for growers. I have been working at Q-Point B.V. for 25 years.
I am focused on implementing various quality systems in the horticultural sector, including ISO 9001:2015, Florimark Trade, GLOBALG.A.P., CDG and various MPS schemes. I have extensive experience with food safety systems such as BRC and IFS, as well as certifications in the seed and plant propagation sectors, such as NAL, GSPP and Naktuinbouw Elite, and support companies that seek to integrate CSR within their business operations.
On behalf of the SNL Certification Foundation, I conduct external audits within the framework of the Nature and Landscape Subsidy System (SNL). This subsidy program enables provinces to provide funding for nature conservation and agricultural nature management.
At an international level, I am involved in several projects in East Africa, Finland, Eastern Europe, Suriname, Indonesia and Egypt.
My objective is to not only guide companies to the best extent possible but also to prioritise actual optimisation and improvements.
