Context

This project focuses on conducting a comprehensive needs assessment to support sustainable aquaculture development in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. The service involves evaluating opportunities for trade, investment, and cooperation with an emphasis on food systems and climate-smart value chains. Q Point’s responsibilities include delivering an analysis and baseline report with key findings, recommendations for interventions, and a framework for monitoring impact over time.

The “Combi-Track” project aims to enhance collaboration between stakeholders to stimulate economic growth, sustainable development, and international partnerships within the aquaculture sector. The initiative focuses on aligning financial and technical investments with ecological goals, promoting food systems that support biodiversity, and addressing climate challenges through innovative production techniques.

Q-Point successfully implemented in 2024 the TMT project “Capacity Building for Food System Transformation: Evaluating Financial, Ecological, and Social Impact of Different (Shrimp) Production Systems and Preparation for Nature-Positive ‘Food & Water’ Systems” in Ca Mau Province of the Vietnamese Mekong Delta. This initiative strengthened capacity by fostering sustainable shrimp production and contributed to the vision of climate-smart and nature-positive water-food systems.
