Joost van Tinteren Senior consultant food safety and quality systems

As a food technologist, I have over 25 years of experience in production management. As a plant manager, I worked in various food sectors for (international) companies in the field of snacks (General Mills/Old El Paso), pastries (HEMA Confectionery), coffee (Ahold Coffee Company) and meat (Prime Meat). Within these positions, I gained knowledge of FMCG and long-shelf-life products.  

For 12 years I worked as a senior lead auditor for certified institutions such as Vincotte and LRQA, where I worked with GFSI standards such as FSSC, BRC and IFS, Riskplaza-audit+ and supplier standards such as McDonald’s SQMS, Costco and Aldi. Within this position, I am experienced in certification and accreditation processes, as well as monitoring and witness audits.  

Additionally, as a consultant I am involved in supplier quality management projects in the food, cosmetics (GMP ISO 22716:2007, EFfCI GMP) and pharmaceutical (EXCiPACT GMP) sectors.   

My objective is to combine my experience in production and auditing with a pragmatic approach to effectively assist companies in the fields of quality and customer requirements, legislation and regulation.
