Ethiopia, Africa Capacity building for effective Food and Nutrition Training

This project at Hawassa University will contribute to increased food security and agricultural growth by improving education, training, research and service provision and will lead to access to more nutritious food for Ethiopians.

At the end of the project Hawassa University will have the academic and organisational capacity to develop, implement and conduct effective gender sensitive educational programmes in nutrition and to conduct applied and contract research; produce graduates with increased employability through acquiring labour market competencies and skills as nutritionists and scientists. This will allow them to establish their own businesses and to provide effective services to the public; deliver outreach services to the community and industry in a sustainable and efficient way.
