Validation workshop in circular economy and regenerative agriculture
Our Q-Point colleague Olivia had a very nice week in Bomet (Western Kenya)! We contributed to Hand in Hand Eastern Africa’s effort towards the promotion of circular economy and regenerative agriculture practices in Kenya, by drawing on ongoing farming practices and initiatives and organizing for a validation workshop with the Hand in Hand team and local community. We practiced and learned together through practical experiments and interactive discussions on Syntropic Agroforestry, plant consortia, sandbed preparation, soil life, biodiversity and gender. Q-point had the pleasure of organizing a validation workshop on example practices at the demonstration plot in Bomet. It was a pleasure working with local experts Fredrick Kipchumba, soil scientist Noel Templer and Hand in Hand International on the development of the Circular Economy & Regenerative Agriculture curriculum. Curious? Read all about the project on our website here. We want to thank Hand in Hand International and Jack Ord for making this possible! Also special thanks to our interns who participated Merel and Fatima. |
