The involved institution

SMK Negeri 2, Turen

SMK Negeri 2 belangrijkste focusonderwerpen:

Context

Therefore, the focus of this training program is more on obtaining practical (teaching) skills on promotion of entrepreneurship and business development. In relation to fish processing technology, we aim to strengthen our training programme by linking to PT Varia Niaga Nusantara and PT Mutuagung Lestari (laboratory) as “training factories” and through upskilling of our teaching staff on food safety, hygiene, traceability and certification to be able to meet local and export demands

The central point of the training is the fish value chain and innovative solutions and technologies that can directly be applied within existing fish value chain systems, suitable to the current situation in the country. Developing the value chain by drawing on local available resources like a food stall (food chariot) and market trends like processed “catfish kobayaki” are examples of student ideas developed during given trainings. Technical aspects will be combined with a commercial strategy; product-market combinations and partnership building.

Project goal and outputs

This project focuses on capacity development for a sustainable fish value chain in the field of entrepreneurship and business, market-oriented thinking, fish processing, food safety, hygiene and certification (for export entry).
